Short Introduction with Brief History of the Department:
The Department of Education started its journey since 2007 to fulfill the growing demands of the students of surrounding locality. At initial stage it operated through self-finance with four faculty members. The present faculty members of the department are- Smt. Santana Banerjee (H.O.D.), Smt. AninditaAdhikari, Miss RumaGayenandMiss Smritikana Roy. This department tries to guide students not only for mastering the academic areas, but also for attempting to guide them in attaining the higher objectives of life. This is a great achievement for the department that many students of this department have achieved gold medal in UG course and also in PG from different universities, many students are holding positions as assistant teacher, assistant professor etc. in different educational institutions. A large number of students have qualified NET, SET; and they are pursuing Ph.D. from different universities.  From this department, many students are engaged as guest lecturer in different colleges and universities. As faculty member, Dr. Santosh Kumar Behera is now holding position as assistant Professor in Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, and also others are in good position in different sectors. The Department is always with the students for achieving success in their lives.
